To Whom It May Concern:

Mrs. Willis has been my daughter’s teacher for the 2006/2207 school year.  I believe Maggie has gained a great deal from this class. Mrs. Willis has excellent rapport with the students and my daughter has responded well to that relationship. I found Mrs. Willis very easy to talk with. She kept me informed about Maggie’s progress or lack of and always had suggestions that we found very helpful. I found Teri to be very organized and always prepared for the class and activities involving parents. Not only has my daughter’s vocabulary increased, she has gained confidence in public speaking.  Several of the projects assigned required weeks of preparation; therefore, she learned to use plan ahead, using her time and resources wisely.  My expectations of the class were exceeded. It was a very pleasant experience and Maggie is ready for the next school year.

An 8th grade parent writes: 

To whom it may concern:

     Mrs. Willis has been instructing our 14 year old daughter, Cierra, this year.  Mrs. Willis was referred to us by a highly regarded and innovative leader in the Christian Education community.  The results we have experienced with our daughter have tremendously exceeded our expectations.  We praise the Lord for Mrs. Willis.

     Above and beyond the curriculum and skills that were taught Cierra this year, she has received a precious gift.  Mrs. Willis was able to tap into and unlock creativity in writing, a joy for reading and a confidence in public speaking that until then had lay dormant.  Cierra has always excelled in English and Literature classes receiving straight A’s thus far.  As grateful as we are for the good grades, we are much more grateful for the blessing that Mrs. Willis was able to release in Cierra. 

     Because of the gift that was brought to life in Cierra, she now possesses an ability that can open additional doors of opportunity for her future.  For that, we are truly thankful.  It has been a privilege to have had our precious daughter taught by Mrs. Willis.

A 7th grade parent writes:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               To Whom It May Concern:

We placed our daughter, Abigail, in Christian College Prep with Terri Willis as the teacher for the 2006-2007 school years.  We chose her as our teacher because of her emphasis on reading and grammar which standardized testing had shown was a significant deficiency for Abigail.

Mrs. Willis began an aggressive schedule of assignments across all of her subjects, but especially in reading and grammar.  Abigail was initially resistant to the workload, but with Terri’s constant encouragement and accountability, Abigail began rising to the challenges.  We saw her reading quantity increase dramatically in the initial months and plateau at levels that we found quite satisfactory.  Abigail now averages more than an hour of daily reading without resistance, which we attribute to Mrs. Willis having changed Abi’s expectations regarding schoolwork.

Mrs. Willis has also been able to challenge Abigail’s attention to detail by expecting high quality and specific content for her assignments.  Abigail’s ability to follow detailed instructions were lacking at the beginning of the year due to years of informal home schooling.  But we have seen a dramatic improvement through the year, again through the accountability of Mrs. Willis.

In summary, Mrs. Willis has been a challenging and resourceful teacher for our daughter this year and we highly commend her for the education and attitude changes she has developed in our daughter.
